Cohocton Sons of American Legion – 7th Annual Lifeline Golf Tournament

Saturday, August 17, 2013

August 17th, 2013 marked the 7th Annual Lifeline Golf Tournament held by the Cohocton Sons of American Legion at the Reservoir Creek Golf Course in Naples, NY.  Over $6,500 was raised by the tournament.  The major portion of the proceeds goes to the E.A.R.S. Lifeline Program at Noyes Hospital to recompense the monthly Lifeline fee for up to 30 Cohocton residents’ monthly monitoring fee.

The E.A.R.S. (Emergency Alert Response System) Lifeline program, located in Noyes Memorial Hospital, has been the local medical alert provider for over 30 years.  Lifeline gives older adults and those with chronic medical conditions the security and confidence knowing they can get help anytime of day or night by simply pushing their personal help button.

Celebrating 3 years on the market is the AutoAlert Fall Detector Help Button.  This newest technology detects if a fall has happened and will automatically place a call for help, even if someone cannot push their help button.  All help buttons are waterproof and work inside and outside the home.

Coming soon is the new cellular HomeSafe Lifeline unit!  This awaited technology will eliminate the need to have a landline phone in order to have Lifeline service and will work on cellular technology!!  This will be available late Fall, 2013.

Over the past 7 years, the Cohocton Sons of American Legion has donated over $47,000, and they have sponsored over 50 Cohocton/N. Cohocton/Atlanta area subscribers!  The E.A.R.S. Lifeline Program at Noyes Hospital is very grateful for their ongoing support helping older adults age in place in their community!!
