Wayland-Cohocton Business Students Visit Noyes Health
Wednesday, December 23, 2015
Wayland-Cohocton students from teacher Terrie Applin’s Career Awareness class visited Noyes Health on Tuesday, December 22nd. The dozen high school students had shown an interest in many of the career fields available at Noyes Health. The students spent the morning taking a general tour of the hospital and received an update on the Ann and Carl Myers Cancer Center project. At the end of the tour a lunch was served and students were paired with professionals in their field of interest to casually chat and ask questions. Some of the health career fields highlighted were; Radiology, Laboratory, Physical Therapy, Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Marketing and the Emergency Room. This event was meant to expose, inform and excite the students about a career in the healthcare field! Noyes Health is pleased to partner with our local school districts and the Livingston County Business Education Alliance to provide this type of opportunity for students interested in health careers.
