Local Breast Pump Rental Locations
Most insurance plans cover the full rental cost of a hospital grade double electric pump when a baby remains hospitalized for certain medical needs after the mother has been discharged. When the baby remains hospitalized, a prescription will be needed for the pump rental. The prescription will cover a rental breast pump for a baby with: prematurity (less than 32 weeks), neurologic disorder, genetic abnormality, anatomic or congenital malformation requiring surgery. This model is the same as the one used in the hospital and is designed to be fully disinfected between users. There are several vendors in the Rochester area for breast pump rentals – please verify with the vendor that they have a rental pump available, as well as if they will submit to your insurance or if you will need to pay the rental fee upfront and submit to your insurance. The costs below are subject to change. A driver’s license and credit card are usually required for rentals.
