We are a national and global leader in the complex and continuously evolving field of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Consisting of full service clinical laboratories, central laboratories for clinical trials, and robust education programs, UR Medicine Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is helping move pathology forward in the areas of patient care, research, and education.

We also operate some 35 Patient Service Centers in western New York state, serving the needs of patients and physicians across a seven-county region.

Victoria Zhang, Ph. D., has received the 2015 General Research Grant from the AACC to fund her research project, "Exhaled Breath Condensate: A non-invasive approach in concert with mass spectrometry and lipidomic profiling to study chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).”

Dr. Zhang is Director of URMC's Regional Toxicology Lab and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
