YOGA for a Healthy Back

Thursday March 7, 12-1

Roughly 70-80 % of all adults have back pain. Most people take their backs for granted until they get an injury. In this class, participants will learn a series of stretches designed to keep your lower back limber and your hips and legs strong to prevent injury.

Instructor: Jan Gates - 500 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor

Cost: $6 for members, $7 for non-members

To register, please come to the URMC Fitness Center office (G5680) with cash or a check.

4:30 Boot Camp starts Monday February 4

Join us Mondays at 4:30p for a fun way to end your day. This 35 minute boot camp style class will offer exercises to increase your strength and endurance, with modifications offered as well. It is free for members, and $3 for non-members.

Yoga

This relaxing and strengthening class with Patricia is a great way to finish your day - Mondays at 5:20p. The cost for 4 classes is $15 for members and $21 for non-members. Compare that to outside studios that charge $10-$20 per class! Call us to learn more.

Ballet Barre

Pliés, relevés, and sauté jumps don’t just look graceful, the ballet moves also lengthen and strengthen muscles and burn calories. By doing ballet barre regularly, you'll also notice a remarkable improvement in your core strength and posture. While a tight core will give you a taller appearance, it will also keep you safe from injuries After each class, your entire body will truly feel worked. It will tone your muscles and increase your flexibility. You’ll feel stretched, strengthened and invigorated.

Wednesdays 4:30-5:20 pm, March 6 - April 10. The cost is $24 for members and $30 for non-members.

WERQ

WERQ® is the fiercely fun dance fitness class based on pop, rock, and hip hop music taught by Laura. Check it out on Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9KHcjxaE_k Come join us Tuesdays at 5:15p and check out how fun it is to "werq out". Non-members can take class for only $3 a class or pay $10 for a pack of 4 consecutive classes.

Power Pump

This "strictly weights" class is held Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:15 and will tone each part of your body specifically utilizing barbells and hand weights. The cost for non-members is $4 for this all over toning hour class.

Karate

Attend each full month (3 times a week) for only $50.00 (or less). Classes are Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am -12:00 pm PLUS belt testings.

Dry Cleaning

Bring your clothing to the Fitness Center and we will take care of the rest. We also handle departmental lab coat cleaning for only $5.00 per Lab Coat. We gladly accept 312 Requisitions. Convenient and hassle free. Drop off Monday thru Friday 10-5 and items will be returned in 3 business days or less.
