The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Rochester is one of the area leaders in transgender care. Our faculty, some of whom have national reputations in the field of sex steroid biology, are highly trained in the use of all types of hormone therapy.

We work closely with local therapists, surgeons, and speech specialists to offer a multidisciplinary approach toward the support of transgender individuals. Importantly, our providers also work hand in hand with our pediatric endocrinologists so that we are able to transition teens into the world of adult transgender care in a seamless fashion.
