Patient Registration Counselor

Job Details:

Per Diem, Various Shifts

Job Description:

Arrange for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients, the registration of outpatients, ensure that accurate patient information is collected and that patients are made aware of hospital policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical terminology preferred. Typing skills required. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions and established procedures required. Computer experience required.

Unit Assistant - Emergency Room (2 Positions)

Job Details:

Part Time, Night and Part Time Days, with every other weekend and every other holiday

Job Description:

Assume general clerical duties, under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor, Director, or Charge Nurse.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Secretarial courses preferred with typing/keyboarding skills required. Computer experience required, with Microsoft Word and Excel, and Meditech preferred. Basic knowledge of medical terminology required. Background in patient care, medical assist/medical office preferred.

Proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Customer service experience demonstrating effective communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse population during times of high stress and anxiety while maintaining a calming position to assist customers with problem resolution.

Telecommunications Attendant

Job Details:

Per Diem, Various Shifts

Job Description:

Operate the main console for the facility. To provide communications for the hospital as emergency, current and routine information. Direct calls to the appropriate areas, staff, and physicians.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions and established procedures required.

Health Information Technician

Job Details:

Full Time, Days

Job Description:

Under general supervision, process and maintain medical records, Master Medical Records file and Master Patient Index; receive and process requests for medical records; work to ensure the integrity of the medical record and its process. Support the hospital's goal of providing information from the medical record to maximize the cash flow process. Works with the most confidential and restricted patient information.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. College courses in medical secretarial, Health Information
Management, or medical terminology desirable. Previous office experience and skills such as computer, filing and fundamental office procedures desirable.
