Life Line Program Facilitator

Job Details:

Full Time, Days

Job Description:

Manage Lifeline Program daily operations including: enrollments, terminations, equipment and inventory management.  Work collaboratively with Philips Lifeline (vendor) regarding all service line options, monitoring services, supplies and marketing support.  Work collaboratively with COS manager on annual marketing plan and implementation of monthly ideas to achieve annual benchmark goals.  Manage general program over site including: subscriber account management, monthly reporting and assist in management of support staff.  Assist with marketing fund raising efforts.  Provide support and assistance to Manager.

Job Requirements:

Associates Degree in Human Services, Health Care, Business or related field preferred. All education and experience considered on a case by case basis.  Valid Nos driver's license required.

Experience working with the older adult population preferred.  Experience in community or human service organizations also preferred.  Strong communication skills required.  Public speaking experience and ability to teach and present information to the adult population helpful.  Able to work independently with the ability to use sound judgment.  Proven work history as a self-starter working autonomously to establish objectives, set priorities and resolve problems.  Proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously, as necessary.  Proven flexibility necessary to meet changing priorities and demands on a daily basis.  Experience working with Microsoft Office preferred.  Program management and leadership experience helpful.

Community Outreach Assistant

Job Description:

Under minimal supervision perform and oversee all office management services and referrals/enrollments for the E.A.R.S. Lifeline Program.  Manage the smooth and efficient operation of all office functions.  Function as department receptionist.  Manage all Lifeline registration and billing procedures.  Support development of all service line outreach materials and ads, including website and Facebook updates.  Manage program databases for program statistics and reports.  Provide
support and assistance to the Lifeline Program Coordinator and Service Line Manager.

Job Requirements:

Associates Degree or equivalent in related field preferred or equivalent in education and experience.  Medical terminology course desired.

Current secretarial experience required.  Strong typing/keyboarding skills, with word processing, database management and spreadsheets preferred.  Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and Publisher preferred helpful.  Experience in billing preferred.  Webpage support and social media experience desired. Demonstrated
ability to function independently using sound judgment and decision making.  Self starter with attention to detail.

Maintenance Mechanic - Engineering

Job Description:

Perform a variety of duties in the routine maintenance of the hospital physical plant and associated equipment, as required, to maintain a healthy and comfortable environment for patients and employees of the hospital.

Job Requirements:

.Technical background in areas of plant maintenance and systems required.  Valid New York State drivers license required.  Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, troubleshooting and repair required.  Maintenance experience in a Healthcare facility preferred.  Two years driving experience required.

Job Description:

Code outpatient, and ancillary records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines for correct APC/APG assignment. Assign the Physician's Evaluation/Management service code. Perform clinical and demographic abstracting in UDS and Meditech computer system. Enter deficiencies in the chart tracking system. Review charts for data retrieval for hospital/medical staff
quality, risk and infection control activities.

Job Requirements:

Two years college (Medical Record Technology or HIM independent study course) with ICD-10/CPT-4 coding courses or equivalent in training and experience required. RHIT eligible or accreditation as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) (or
within the first year) and Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or RHIT eligible required.

Previous experience coding, using ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 in a Medical Records Department or Physician's office required. Experience using a personal computer or terminal preferred.

Billing Representative I (ON HOLD)

Job Description:

Provide assistance to all patients regarding financial transactions during their stay and treatment at the hospital. Manage all patient accounts, utilizing the policies and procedures of the hospital.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent with typing and general knowledge of office equipment plus legible handwriting and English required. Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions and established procedures required. Experience in office procedures required. Experience in medical billing or related field desired.
