RN - Urgent Care

Pay Range: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Job Description:

Performs focused nursing assessments, obtains and documents vital signs and pertinent patient history, identifies changes in patient condition, and prioritizes care based on acuity and clinical presentation. The RN administers medications and treatments as ordered, performs nursing procedures within scope and demonstrated competency, obtains and processes specimens, performs wound care, dressing changes, splinting, casting, and other urgent care procedures as applicable, and assists providers with examinations and procedures.

Job Requirements:

Licensed to work as an RN in New York State. Health Care Provider CPR Certification required. Basic computer skills, IV skills preferred. Urgent Care experience preferred. 

FLOAT POOL RN

Pay Range: $$38.50 - $50.02

Job Description: 

Provides nursing care to and support to inpatient units within the hospital. This nurse will be trained or have previous experience in ED, ICU, and MS and will take patient assignments as assigned.  The float pool RN will be trained in Nursing Supervision and able to provide support or coverage within this department as needed.  The float pool RN can also be utilized within other departments of the hospital based on individual skillset at the discretion of the Nursing Supervisor and/or Nursing Directors.

Job Requirements: 

Minimum of one (1) year of Critical Care of ED experience required.  ECCO completion required within one (1) year of start date unless two (2) years of previous critical care experience.  NRP required within one (1) year of start date.  TNCC, CCRN or CEN preferred.

RN Nurse Manager - Case Mgmt Med/Surg

Pay Range: $38.50 - $50.02

Job Description: 

Works collaboratively with physicians to coordinate and screen for the appropriateness of admissions and Continued stays. Reviews alternatives with the physicians for alternate levels of care when the patient does not meet the medical necessity for Inpatient hospitalization. Interacts with the family, patient, and or caregiver and other disciplines to coordinate a safe and acceptable discharge plan. Works collaboratively with a Multidisciplinary team.

Job Requirements: 

Licensed and currently registered to practice as a professional nurse in New York State required. B.S. degree preferred. Previous case management required, Discharge planning experience required. Two (2) years of clinical acute care nursing experience as an RN required. Demonstrated ability to utilize/apply the general and specialized principals, practices, techniques and methods of Utilization review/management, discharge planning or case management.  PRI Training required; SCREEN Training, preferred. Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards Demonstrated ability to utilize written and verbal communication, interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. MDS experience preferred. ACM Certification preferred. Computer literacy skills required.

RN – Patient Access Specialist

Prior Authorization Specialist

Responsible for obtaining prior authorizations for both standard and complex medical requests; involves anticipating insurance carrier requirements, extracting and presenting relevant information from EMR, maintaining the full authorization process including appeals, timely and accurate follow-through to support patient care, scheduling and satisfaction, and monitoring personal performance.

Pharmacy Intern

Pay Range: $19.50 - $23.50

Job Description: 

Practices as a pharmacist under the immediate supervision of a pharmacist, reviewing orders, selecting, preparing, and dispensing medications. Compounds sterile products, provides therapy recommendations, pharmacokinetic consults, pharmacotherapy interventions and other professional pharmacy services as required.

IR Access Specialist / Scheduler

Provides scheduling of all IR procedures. Performs secretarial and administrative duties in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and considerable latitude for independent judgement, in support of the clinical tasks for Interventional Radiology. ED/Rad Onc Social Worker

Pay Range: $30.04 - $38.77 per hour  

Job Description:

The social worker, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, provides social work clinical services, discharge planning, and psychosocial assessment to individuals and families of all ages who come to the Emergency Department for care.

Job Requirements:

LMSW required. Must obtain New York State licensure within 18 months of hire.  Social work experience in a medical setting working with health-oriented community programs or satisfactory background in family casework. Experience in a hospital setting a plus though not required. Additional experience in group work or teaching will be helpful in in-service training aspects of the position.

Patient Relations Coordinator

Pay Range: $18.50 - 23.80

Functions independently under the general direction of the VP of Physician Services and the Director of Quality in completing activities pertaining to patient relations and the patient experience. Manages all aspects of assigned projects including timelines and expected deliverables.

Staff Pharmacist

Pay Range: $63.00 - $70.50

Job Description: 

Involved in storage, preparation and dispensing pharmaceuticals, biologicals and supplies in the hospital. Conducting daily drug therapy assessments and acuity reviews documenting such in the pharmacist's acuity dashboard on admitted and observational patients assigned to inpatient units. Review and verifies patient home medications, lists, conducts medication discharge education to patients and caregivers. Aids the Director and Pharmacy Operations Supervisor with administrative duties and supervision of non-professional department personnel. 

Job Requirements: 

Graduation from an accredited college of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree is PREFERRED> Graduation with a 5-year Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree applicants may be considered if they have relevant recent inpatient practice experiences. Current Licensure in NYS as a Pharmacist in good standing is REQUIRED. One year experience in relevant hospital pharmacy, or equivalent in education and experience as determined by the Pharmacy Director on an individual basis is preferred. 

Sterile Processing Tech

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Sterile Processing, provide for quality standards in the Sterile Processing Department and provision of sterile and other supplies for NMH.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Certified Registered Sterile Processing Technician certification required within 18 months of hire. Project Manager

Pay Range: $25.81 – $32.73 per hour

Job Description:

The principal responsibilities will include: planning and implementation of multiple/simultaneous large/small scale hospital facility redevelopment and new build projects; providing leadership to the facilities services team and external consultants alike; scheduling project programs from the functional planning stage through to contract completion, monitoring and reporting on all financial metrics; performing quality management responsibilities; prepares job estimates and timetables. Determines manpower needs and assembles team in conjunction with Department Director. At times, performs Mechanic duties and assists Facilities teams when needed.

Job Requirements:

Demonstrated ability in organizational and management practices related to the analysis and evaluation of construction projects, project programs, policies, and operational needs are required. Program budget preparation and control. Principles and practices of administration and supervision. Applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures are all required. Proficiency using Project Management support software like AutoCAD, BluBeam, or equivalent. Valid New York State driver’s license required. Asbestos Certification for Supervisor and inspector or project monitor classifications required or must be obtained within the six months of employee's successful completion of probation and must be maintained throughout the employee's tenure.

At least five (5) years' experience in a health care construction project management is preferred. Construction project management, supervisory management, job budgeting experience, general construction experience, masonry, and millwork experience, knowledge of commercial HVAC, plumbing and electrical preferred or combination of high level of skills and experience in all listed trades required. Demonstrated ability to manage projects on budget and on time required. Two years driving experience required meeting criteria of the hospital policy dealing with qualifications of licensed motor vehicle operators.
