How To Apply
Application Information
Our department is committed to recruiting a diverse workforce to reflect our patient populations, and this extends to our residency program. Over the last 5 years, we have welcomed a steadily increasing number of residents into our program that self-identify as Under Represented Minorities in Medicine (URiM). Please visit our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) page to learn more about our DEI efforts.
All positions are offered through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), in compliance with the ACGME rules and regulations. New for the 2023 Match cycle, the specialty of Anesthesiology is allowing supplemental applications from residency candidates, and we strongly encourage our applicants to participate. We do NOT require the Altus Assessment for applications.
Applications will be accepted starting September 28th through mid-January. Residents are selected through the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). For the 2023 Match cycle, we are offering:
-18 PGY-1 positions into our integrated, categorical program and
-3 PGY-2 "physician" position.
We invite applicants to interview starting in October. Applicants will be notified of interviews electronically via the Thalamus scheduling system. Interviews are conducted from mid-October through mid-January and are scheduled on most Mondays throughout these months. For the 2023 Match cycle, all interviews will be conducted virtually, following the guidance of the Association of American Medical Colleges.

Interview Information
The evening before interviews, applicants are invited to a virtual "happy hour" with our residents. This casual event is led by a Chief Resident, and allows applicants a relaxed atmosphere to learn more about the personality of our program and have their questions answered. During the interview day, applicants can expect a minimum of 3 virtual interviews with faculty, as well as a virtual social hour around lunch time to meet more of our residents.
We know your time is valuable! Applicants can plan on spending about half of day with us. Interviews are scheduled in the AM or PM to decrease the amount of wasted time for applicants.
