Private Patient Room Tower Project Placed on Hold and Test Piling Update

Highland is keenly focused on its response to the outbreak of COVID-19 in our community, and as such, we must remain flexible on when we can commence construction on the planned private patient room tower. We are currently holding for 90 days and will reassess the construction schedule this summer.

Highland will continue its test piling in order to ensure to the best of our ability that vibrations during the tower construction’s pile install will not impact the homes surrounding the construction site. As such, on Tuesday, April 7, a reaction test will be conducted on the test pile installed this week to confirm load carrying capacity. There will be a construction crew on site from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. conducting work with a hydraulic press. We expect noise to be minimal.

Professional Office Building Garage Refurbishment

Highland’s Professional Office Building Garage will undergo a refurbishment starting on Saturday, April 4 at 7 a.m. until Sunday, April 19 at 6 p.m. During this time crews of three-to-ten construction workers will be on site. They will be using a gasoline-powered power washer to clean the decks and there may be a concrete truck and a few additional vehicles on site. There will be weekend work during the refurbishment, but we expect noise to be minimal.
