8:30am-4:00pm

(Schedule of Events Below)

About & Who Can Attend:

This free event is for both high school and undergraduate students interested in finding out more information about the MD/PhD Program. Parents are also welcome to attend as an individual attendee's guest. Guests must be registered with their appropriate attendee when signing up (see below).

The University of Rochester Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), part of the School of Medicine, is a federally funded MD/PhD program for students training for both medical (MD) and research (PhD) degrees. The goal of the conference is to let interested undergraduate and high school students know about MD/PhD programs as a route to a career in medical research.  Students at each stage in their training will present their perspectives and showcase some of their exciting research. In addition, small group sessions will be able to provide tailored advice to the students, ranging from how to approach the early undergraduate years with an MD/PhD in mind to more specific questions about admissions and the interview process.
