Improved Outcomes

We specialize in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of maternal medical issues and concerns with fetal health and development. This expertise enables our physicians to focus on improved outcomes for both pregnant person and child. Our collaborative healthcare model ensures that you are being seen by the top experts and technicians in the fields of maternal-fetal medicine, genetics, ultrasound, and lactation.

Customized Treatment Plan

Since each family has unique needs, we will work with you to develop a customized management plan. This plan addresses our recommended medical course of action before, during and after your pregnancy. Our patient-centered dedication and understanding of these critical challenges allow us to deliver the care and compassion you need during a highly stressful gestational period.

Comprehensive Care

Our physicians integrate services with other specialists to provide comprehensive care for pregnant people. Related fields include cardiology, genetics, internal medicine, endocrinology, rheumatology, pulmonary medicine, and psychiatry.

By combining areas of expertise, our multidisciplinary team is able to offer a wide array of safe diagnostic and therapeutic resources.

Co-Management

Our specialists will work directly with your current providers to ensure you maintain the relationships you have already established. We can co-manage cases, when possible, with no need to transfer from your current provider. We will make sure you feel comfortable with the plan that is put in place for you and your growing family.

For women cared for in co-management, most will be seen in an ongoing fashion to manage a particular problem for either parent or baby, and a plan will be put in place to allow delivery with their provider at their preferred hospital. Perinatologists are not typically present at delivery, but are available for consultation as needed by phone at any time, or in-person at Strong Memorial and Highland Hospitals.

Please note that co-management visits or consultative care is outside of the typically global billing for prenatal care, and you will receive separate charges for these visits.

Level II Ultrasound Consultation & Evaluation

Our AIUM certified Level II OB/GYN ultrasound unit can help diagnose and evaluate your developing baby. Your provider may have sent you for an ultrasound and consultation for findings on a ultrasound that was done closer to home.

We invite you to learn more about our fetal care and evaluation services, and some common fetal concerns on our Fetal Care page.

Please note that when you speak with a specialist in our practice about a specific concern during an ultrasound, this type of consultative care is outside of the typically global billing for prenatal care, and you will receive separate charges for these visits.
