The EAP staff has earned the reputation for achieving high clinical standards in our industry.

All counseling staff hold a master’s degree in the mental health field and have experience with a variety of sub-specialties, which include:

  • Crisis counseling
  • Marriage/family therapy
  • Substance abuse counseling
  • Child and adolescent counseling
  • Critical incident stress debriefing

Clinicians

Ann Cornell, PsyD, CEAP- Director

Ann CornellDr. Ann Cornell completed her undergraduate training in psychology at the University of Rochester prior to her graduate school training in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University. She then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in primary care psychology through the University of Rochester Medical Center where she served as chief fellow and received extensive training in marriage and family therapy. Dr. Cornell completed an additional postdoctoral fellowship in interdisciplinary geriatrics and has a strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. Her areas of interest include behavioral health, cognitive behavioral therapy, and developing approaches to meet the needs of physicians and residents within the University of Rochester system. Over the past several years her work at BHP has been devoted to working with employees in health care systems and to developing innovative ways to meet the needs of this population.

Janine Rowe

Janine Rowe, MSEd, LMHC, CASAC, SAP, CEAP –​ EAP Service Manager

Janine earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Hamilton College and master’s degree in Counselor Education from the College at Brockport, SUNY. She is licensed mental health counselor in the state of New York, a credentialed alcohol and substance use counselor, and substance abuse professional. Her areas of expertise include substance use counseling and the intersection of career and mental health concerns. Janine is trained in cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, and internal family systems and utilizes an eclectic counseling approach to assist her clients.

Sigrid AdlerSigrid Adler, LCSW-R

Ms. Sigrid Adler, LCSW-R, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York. Ms. Adler is skilled in providing psychotherapy and crisis intervention to individuals, couples, and families dealing with such issues as; mood disorders, anxiety, marital discord, parent/child conflict, workplace stress, and the impact trauma. Other areas of expertise include the provision of service to emergency services personnel; including law enforcement and first responders. Ms. Adler is a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. She has been an employee of Strong Behavioral Health for over 13 years.

Kristin BoggsKristin Boggs, Ed.M., CASAC, SAP

Kristin received a Master’s Degree in School Counseling at the University of Buffalo in 2008, and became a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor in 2016. Kristin has worked in various settings providing counseling to individuals with substance use disorders, mood disorders, and relationship distress. Kristin draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as solution-focused brief therapy and Motivational Interviewing.  Her goal is to empower individuals by drawing on their strengths in order to challenge problems and build solutions.  Kristin joined the EAP team in January 2022.

Hillary Harter, B.S.N., R.N., P.M.H.N.-B.C.

Hilary HarterHillary Harter is a New York State Registered Nurse with a board-certified specialty in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.  She graduated from Monroe Community College with her Associates degree in Nursing and then graduated from University of Rochester with her BSN.  As a nurse, she has more than 10 years of experience in the Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing field having started working on an inpatient unit at URMC.  She then moved to Ambulatory Psych Nursing where she was Assistant Nurse Manager and then Nurse Manager.  In her role as RN Care Manager, she strives to coordinate care and connect patients to needed services, as well as, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care.

Alexandra HibbardAlexandra Hibbard, LMSW

Alexandra achieved a Masters of Social Work degree with a specialty in Mental Health from Roberts Wesleyan College. Her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Abnormal Psychology from Mercyhurst University has prepared her for working with diverse populations. Throughout her career, she’s had the honor of counseling: veterans diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder within the VA Outpatient Clinic in Rochester, NY, survivors of domestic violence seeking services through the Willow Domestic Violence Counseling Center and individuals on their recovery journey from eating disorders at The Healing Connection. These experiences have increased her passion to provide an empathetic and client-centered approach to all those she meets and supports. Alexandra joined the team in January of 2020. 

 

J. Nittoli

Jordan Nittoli, LMSW

Jordan earned his Masters of Social Work degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is a licensed social worker. Previously, Jordan worked at Child & Family Services in Buffalo, NY as an EAP counselor and later at their family mental health clinic. Jordan’s approach is warm and collaborative; he takes great pleasure in co-constructing solutions to a diverse array of needs, such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, interpersonal conflict and workplace stress. Jordan specializes in both motivational interviewing and solution-focused brief therapy. He joined the EAP team in November of 2021.

Deborah ScottDeborah Scott, MS, CEAP

Deborah Scott earned a Master’s degree from RIT, and is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She has over 15 years of experience in EAP counseling with individuals and families, and over 20 years of experience working in high schools, colleges, and job placement settings. She specializes in solution-focused counseling and has expertise in career and educational coaching, disability and community resources.

 
 

Administrative Staff

Vanessa Mace

Vanessa Mace, BS - Operations Manager

Vanessa is the Operations Manager for the Employee Assistance Program. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration from the State University of New York at Brockport. Previously, she was a supervisor at the Mayo Clinic in the Gastroenterology Department. During her time at the Mayo Clinic she participated in numerous leadership courses. Vanessa joined the group in November of 2016. Her interests include improving patient experience and programs aimed at neutralizing the stigma around mental health issues. Vanessa handles strategic implementation, day to day operations management, and financial oversight for several core missions within EBS with specific focus on furthering the strategic growth and development of the Employee Assistance Program.
