A Post-Doctoral Position is open in the Maquat lab at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. Applicants should hold a PhD or MD/PhD degree(s) and have expertise in molecular, cellular or structural biology to study one of a number of on-going projects, including but not limited to microRNA decay, FMRP function in Fragile X Syndrome, RNP structure, links between gene transcription/pre-mRNA processing/mRNA export/mRNA translation and decay, and post-transcriptional regulatory steps mediated by SINE-containing mRNAs and lncRNAs. A background in computational biology is a plus but not required, as is a background in structural biology.
