Overview
During your hospital stay, a multidisciplinary team of health professionals will work with you and your family to meet your healthcare needs. Together, we will develop a safe discharge plan to allow you to leave the hospital setting. Our extensive array of services includes physical and occupational therapy, social work and nutritional services.
If you’re scheduled for heart surgery at UR Medicine Cardiac Care, we have some helpful information about what to expect during your hospital stay-and your recovery afterward. Our patient education booklet has instructions for before surgery, after surgery, and discharge, as well as information about the CVICU and Post Cardiac Surgery Unit. You’ll also find rehabilitation instructions and exercises inside.
