Julie Kueppers, Ph.D., R.N., FNP-BC

Julie Kueppers

Dr. Kueppers is a Family Nurse Practitioner and the Director of Chronic Disease Prevention with the Center for Community Health & Prevention, and joined our team in 2017. Previously a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Health and Counseling Center at SUNY Geneseo and Strong Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, and an associate clinical faculty member at the University of Rochester School of Nursing, she holds a PhD degree in Nursing and Health Science from the University of Rochester. Dr. Kueppers has participated in a wide variety of research pertaining to nutrition and obesity prevention, and received a grant from the National Institute of Health in 2016 for her dissertation research regarding maternal influences on child dietary intake and weight. She is interested in chronic disease prevention, nutrition, physical activity and behavior change.
