Curriculum/Rotations

The APP Fellowship Program in Orthopaedics is a 1 year post-graduate specialty training program for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
The program is 75% clinical and 25% didactic and includes side-by-side education with the URMC Department of Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Physician Residency Program. The Fellowship Program includes a core program of orthopaedics with several rotations to enhance education in the specialties of spine, upper and lower extremity, adult reconstruction, pediatrics, sports, trauma, urgent care and metabolic bone/oncology.

Application Requirements

Fellowship applicants should be new graduate or early-career Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants with a strong interest in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Applicants must be license-eligible in New York State.

A complete application includes a resume, cover letter, and (2) letters of recommendation from clinical preceptor/educator and program director.

The application deadline for the 2023-2024 fellowship year is December 30, 2022 and interviews will be conducted from January 12, 2022 to February 16, 2022.
