The Informatics and Genomics Research (TIGR) Meetings

The Informatics and Genomics Research meeting, TIGR, welcomes everyone interested in high-throughput, quantitative and/or data-intensive approaches to biomedical research.  We meet every other week in the Del Monte Building, first floor conference room (1-11211) from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.  Coffee and bagels provided by the Genomics Research Center (GRC).

September 21, 2017 - Business Meeting

October 5, 2017Soumyaroop Bhattacharya, PhD. will present 'Transcriptomic Biomarkers to Discriminate Bacterial from Nonbacterial Infection in Adults Hospitalized with Respiratory Illness'.  A recent UR study published study generated through collaboration across multiple departments (Pediatrics, Biostatistics, Allergy Immunology & Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases and Genomics Research Center).

October 19, 2017 - John M. Ashton, PhD., MBA. will present updates on new Genomics Research Center (GRC) services available to the UR community, including single-cell genomics and epigenetics.  Also, the newly expanded GRC Bioinformatics group will be introduced with its mission in bioinformatics education/training, analysis services, and collaborative opportunities.
